Michael J. Stern, COO, has over 30 years of experience managing engineering and construction of grid-tied solar electricity generating systems. He has been a successful senior executive in the solar energy industry since 1985, serving as President of Utility Power Group and Silicon Energy Corp, a Vice-President of Kyocera Solar, a Board Director of Schott Applied Power Corp., and most recently as President of Western Gas & Electric Company. Prior to these senior management positions, Mr. Stern held supervisory and engineering positions with ARCO Solar Industries (now SolarWorld AG) and International Rectifier Corp. Mr. Stern earned a BS in Materials Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, and has been issued several U.S. Patents for his work in commercializing PV technology. |
